Recently I've had to make a lot of choice of to participate in not in social and work events, and I'm sorta sad at what I'm all missing out on.

I missed a weekend trip cause I didn't feel well
I missed a baseball game with my friends cause I was really sick from a medication, and didn't want to feel worse the next day at my internship
now this Friday for my internship they are taking a trip to this place that is like a 4 hour drive away but I don't feel comfortable being in an underground mine and basically 3 hours away from civilization. I have to get my infusion that day.

Here is the thing, I'm not even sure I wanted to go on this trip until I couldn't. I don't know if I'm upset that I'm not going, I think I'm more upset that I can't go, that I don't have a choice in the matter.

I know all these things were the right choice not to go, but still doesn't make it fun. My family keeps telling me that everyone, no matter if they are sick or not misses out on stuff, I just feel like it happens to me a lot.
Most of the choices I make to miss out on things are so I can go to class or work the next day, or so I don't get sicker so I know my priorities are right, and I do still go out with my friends and have fun, I just don't like being forced to miss out.

Anyone have some encouraging words or can relate? How do you deal with feeling like you are missing out, even if its the right choice?

I can also relate to this. Although it really sucks missing out on the most important moments of your life, it's also good to rest a bit. Resting will help you heal faster and get back to your life in no time. :) I hope you feel better really soon and I wish you all the best in life! :)

Can definitely relate... I've missed so much and when I've tried knowing the consequences it wasn't worth it...  I've come to a middle of:  have friends over for kickbacks or do things local that won't over do it.  It really is up to you to invite friends over for dinner and a movie, you know something light so that you can handle it and you have your own bathroom close by.  I hope it helps... I know it's hard and sometimes a bit depressing but if it's worth it you find a way :)
